A space for transgender and nonbinary 14-16 year olds to connect with others who are going through similar experiences and process things as they come up. Example discussion topics: exploring gender expression, dealing with dysphoria, coming out experiences, relationships/dating

Process Group for Guardians of Transgender and Nonbinary Teens

Wednesdays  12-1:30pm via Google Meet
November 11—December 30, 2020
A space for for guardians to process experiences and concerns in raising transgender/nonbinary teenagers. Example discussion topics: understanding teens’ gender identities (and how to relate to them), how to support teens in coming out to extended family, helping teens explore their gender expression, and discussing concerns about the future
Note: This group is not limited to guardians of teens in the teen processing group. It is open to guardians of teens ages 13—19 in North Carolina

Cost:

Standard rate: $45/session
Sliding scale: $35-45/session; contact to discuss availability

How To Register:

1. Email [email protected] to indicate which group you are interested in and request access to Client Portal and intake forms 
1a. If registering for teen processing group, have teen complete Intake for Teen Group and Demographic Info. Have a guardian complete Guardian Supplement for Teen Group and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
1b. If registering for guardian processing group, complete Intake for Guardian Group, Demographic Info, and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
2. Adam will reach out to schedule a free 30 minute videochat to answer questions, confirm logistics/expectations, arrange a payment method, and (if needed) clarify information from intake forms
3. Upload copies of ID and complete Consent to Treatment form via Client Portal
4. Attend group
