Adam Weinbaum (formerly Adam Tannenbaum), they/them pronouns, is a counselor and facilitator based in Durham, NC. They have been involved in developing and facilitating dialogues/workshops to process social identities (such as race, class, and gender) for nearly 10 years. In addition to providing professional trainings, Adam offers therapeutic counseling services. Having previously interned at the Duke Child and Adolescent Gender Care Clinic, they are especially interested in working with teens, partners, and families to explore how their identities & experiences affect who they are as individuals and their relationships with other people.
Adam most values building trusting relationships with their clients. They strive to offer a nonjudgemental listening space and believe that clients have the right, and the ability, to make the best decisions for themselves. In general, Adam is process-oriented and often focuses on how different dynamics impact clients’ life experiences.
